I help women

You are stronger than you know. Whatever you did to make it this far in life has worked; you are still here. Now let’s make being here rewarding and satisfying. Remember what it felt like when you couldn’t wait to get up in the morning because fun was just bound to happen? You can get that feeling back. Remember when you didn’t want to go to bed at night because you might miss out on something fun? You can get that feeling back too.

I’m a middle-aged woman with three main life goals: be kind, do good, and have fun. Sort of Mister Rogers-ish. Life can throw tough crap at you, and fixing it or working around it shouldn’t feel crappy too.

I believe we can learn and grow strong without misery, and have a good life with the love we need, and with more ease than pain.

I see my role as one of guide or helper, showing you how to find, build on, and use the strengths you already have. I won’t give you answers or tell you what to do; you’ve had enough of that in your life. I’ll help you find answers you already have, knowledge that’s already inside you. It’s there, I know it is. That sassy girl who knows what’s what: she’s in there too.

PS because this is important too

I hold all the appropriate certifications and degrees. My dedication to serving others has led to over 24 years of experience working with adults, families, and children as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA), elementary and special education teacher, English as a second language (ESL) tutor, and counselor. I also facilitated the Supporting Parents of Autism (SPA) group at Washington State Autism Alliance & Advocacy. I identify as anti-harm, anti-ABA (applied behavioral analysis, and harm-reduction.

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from University of Southern California; Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English; Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education with Special Education Endorsement; and the Washington State counseling designation of Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).

I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to make sure I am the right therapist for you. Email me when you're ready. Counseling can help. Let's start your healing!

Picturing you, well.
